BMW has unveiled the new M2 coupe, and it gonna be a really surprising little sport cars. Why we are so excited about this new BMW M2, because it is very compact in size, and has a rear wheel drive set up, so expect to have a lot of fun driving this car, the aesthetic of the car is more aggressive than the standard 2 series, with the traditional M kit: low front apron with large air intakes, flanks with characteristic M gills, 19-inch aluminum wheels with M double-spoke design and low, wide rear with M-specific
twin-tailpipe exhaust system, since we are talking design let’s talk about the interior, don’t expect a revolutionary interior in this little BMW M2 coupe, it just follow what is already excellent in all BMW M cars ,we have Alcantara presence on the door cards and center console together with porous carbon fiber, blue contrast stitching and M embossing on selected details. Sports seats, an M sports steering wheel and an M gearshift lever, all those stuff are really familiar if you are a Beemer M fan or owner.
But what really make BMW M cars so exited are the engines, and the new M2 Coupe is now equipped with a new 3-litre six-cylinder in-line engine twin turbo develop 365 hp at 6,500 rpm with a Peak torque of 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) can be increased to as much as 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) in short bursts under overboost. And for car enthusiasts the new BMW M2 Coupe comes as standard with manual gearbox, and you can fit it with optional seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission (M DCT), top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), we don’t want to put emission and fuel consumption numbers, and don’t ask why!
In the dynamic part, the new BMW M2 Coupe is digging deep in the M3/M4 territory, with aluminum front and rear axles from the BMW M3/M4 models, forged 19-inch aluminum wheels with mixed-size tires (the wheels look pretty big in the M2), M Servotronic steering with two settings, the new BMW M2 Coupe is equipped with an electronically controlled Active M Differential, which optimizes traction and directional stability, moreover the M 2 Coupe is fitted with the Dynamic Stability Control system’s M Dynamic Mode MDM (MDM allows wheel slip).
The new BMW M2 Coupe will go on sale (in the UK) in April 2016 priced from £44,070.
