Ducati Streetfighter 1098, a special bike for me, it was crowned bike of the 2009 EICMA, when I saw it for the first time, I felt in love with his aggressive lines, the muscular stand was just blowing my mind, in 2011 finally I get a brand new one, and I can tell you I had a mixture of feeling, the bike was impractical in the city, my poems were hurting me a lot, the heat from the engine can give a hard time in the traffic, the clutch was terrible and really hard, and if you had the idea to make some highway portion the wind will make your neck suffer, the seat is also really hard, your right foot will suffer from the exhaust heat protector, the original tires mount is a crap( Pirelli Rosso a touring mount on a sport bike), the front end will give you no feedback what so ever…….finally I sold it after four years of painful ride, and scary moment on the twisty road, I had some fun especially at each corner exit.

Ducati Streetfighter was one of the sensation at the 2009 EICMA (crowned bike of the show), but I didn’t match the sales expectation, and a lot of Ducatisti or even motorcycle enthusiasts were keen to see a new model, instead we have the Ducati monster 1200 R, recently added to the lineup, the loo of the bike is as always great but it lack some aggressive lines, don’t worry Ducati Spain ordered a beautiful and gorgeous custom Monster 1200 S from XTR PEPO called SILURO.
The J1R by Tamas Jakus, from Jakusa design, is a beautiful café racer concept based on the KAWASAKI Z1R, so let’s take a quick look at this Custom bike.
The Kawasaki Z1 model was among the elite at the end of the 70’s and the debut of the 80’s, but in the 90’s sports bike become more and more popular and they were the elite, and the Z1 disappeared from Kawasaki line-up, and now we have the Z1000 a modern bike with a plenty of power, and since we are living in a world of technology, and some people are annoyed by modern bikes, because they are too sophisticated, so we have custom bikes, those bikes are generally based on old bikes, and fitted with the latest parts, which mean you have the special look of the old bikes and the sharpness and good ride quality of a modern bike, and that’s what exactly happened to the Kawasaki Z1R.
