DO YOU WANT A SCRAMBLER BASED ON THE HONDA CX500

He Honda CX500 is now really dated and really rare in the same time, and what better than the skillful designer Tamas Jakus to make it more desirable.
Long time ago, and more precisely from 1978 to 1983 the Honda CX 500 used a bench of innovative features (I don’t why the current Honda strategy is based on basic and simple technology) like a liquid cooled engine with electric starter, there was no kick starter (which was quite usual at this period) and dual CV-type carburetors, but if you are a motorcycle manufacturer an you want to make your brand iconic just give your bike a heart(what?), ah sorry an engine, and Honda tried a technology or a layout based on what Moto Guzzi is doing right now which mean an engine using a crankshaft configuration aligned longitudinally with the axis of bike, with a final transmission by a drive shaft which will reduce considerably the maintenance coast, but since we are not in a history course(I’m not good on telling old stories) let’s see what’s the main changes given by Jakusa design to this Honda CX500.

MZ ETZ150 SCRAMBLER BY JAKUSA DESIGN

A lot of motorcyclists may not know the MZ brand, because they ceased their activity in 2013, and it was a motorcycle company from Germany with a lot of vintage bikes, my father use to have one, and it was really simplistic: steel chassis, two wheels, big air cooled single cylinder engine with a kick starter, drum brakes, and you are ready for a ride, but to succeed you need to beat a certain local competitor, and the benchmark was the BMW R65, R75, R80, to be honest they were are almost unbeatable!
