I just wonder whether or not the Triumph Street Triple 675 need an update or a whole revamp? Some peoples will tell you it is the best middleweight naked bike you can purchase out-there! And they are probably right! So why do we need a new Street Triple?
To be honest, I was just wondering why Triumph don’t make their life easier by blending their two naked motorcycle in the same bike(like what Ducati has done with their Hypermotard), kind a 950 Triple naked bike, but we’ve already seen the spy shot of a new Speed Triple testing in the wild, so it’s not going to happen, so we’ve seen lately, an upgrade of this Street Triple 675 called the “Street Triple Rx”, it has Red rear subframe styling enhancements courtesy of the Daytona 675, and a new color and a quick shifter as standard and….basta! We’ve seen in the past not only in the Motorcycle industry, a lot of elite going down, just because they play it like “nobody can touch us!”, so if you excuse me Triumph, when you were updating your 675 model(or add more accessory), the earth continue to turn, and some people from Italy, they call them self: MV AGUSTA, has just show us some 3 cylinder with more power, and more style: BRUTALE 800, DRAGSTER 800, STRADALE 800, TURISMO VELOCE 800, all those bike share the same 3 cylinder, derived from the sport bike: F3 800, in the mean time when the earth continue to turn, some peoples from Japan, work hard and brought to us the Yamaha MT09, it has a 3 cylinder with almost 900cc, the styles is Japanese, but the potential of this bike is huge, so they lately give us a touring version of this streetfighter, known as the Tracer!
See Triumph, it’s not so hard to do something like that, especially when you have the knowledge of 3 cylinder technology, just give your Street Triple an 800cc engine(it will be huge if an 800cc Daytona will follow) with electronic aids, give it some variant, enhance the style, and you are in the mix again…..
