The 2016 Intermot of Cologne, Germany has kicked-in, and there is a lot of news to cover, but as always we decided to take it easy and don’t flood you with all kind of news, so for a star we’ll take a look at the 2017 BMW Motorrad 4 cylinder lineup.
If you are a regular vistor of ur website you are probably aware about the 2017 Bmw Motorrad lineup through the spyshot and a lot of article related to those model, so now we have the official picture and details about these models, let’s start with the king in the 4 cylinder BMW range the 2017 BMW S1000RR, to be clear it’s an upgrade rather than a revamp, so the 2017 S1000RR is now EURO4 compliant , DTC comes as standard, ABS Pro as a new element of the optional equipment item “Riding Modes Pro”, the new RR now as standard as a single-seat model with passenger seat cover. The optional passenger package is available free of charge as an alternative, thank you BMW, new colors which include Racing Red non-metallic/Lightwhite non-metallic and BMW Motorsport (Lupine Blue metallic/Lightwhite non-metallic/Racing Red non-metallic).
Moving on to the supposed new 2017 BMW S1000R which is here include some changes, like an increase in output power: 165 hp at 11 000 rpm (previously 160 hp) , yeah we know 5hp is not a big number but the new S1000R has lost 2kg in the balance, and the payload has increased by 2kg.
HP titanium rear silencer as standard for an even more potent sound and a sporty look, and it’s surely look gorgeous, new frame structure with lighter main frame rear section, ABS Pro as a new element of the optional equipment item “Riding Modes Pro”, HP Shift Assistant Pro for quick shifting up and down without clutch as an ex-works option, Vibration-free handlebars for a further increase in comfort, Multifunction instrument cluster with improved readability and including outdoor temperature display.
And finally to complete the 4cylinder family the 2017 BMW S1000XR adventure sports also get some refinements like his naked brother with an output increase by 5hp (165 hp at 11 000 rpm, previously: 160 hp), undoubtedly it’s a EURO4 compliant because it share the same engine as the S1000R, since this S1000 XR ADVENTURE SPORT is more oriented touring than his naked brother S1000R the payload was increased by 10kg compared to the outgoing model.
