2016 INTERMOT: 2017 DUCATI 939 SUPERSPORT, THE SS IS BACK

We already talked about 2017 Ducati lineup, but something was missing, don’t worry we got you: the 2017 Ducati 939 SuperSport was unveiled yesterday, let’s see what we got here.

first off we know that some pictures was posted before yesterday, but here in MCR we want to give you better quality pictures and without any watermark on it, we start with the aesthetic of the bike which look pretty the same as the current Ducati 959 Panigale (love it), but the front is slightly different with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), the headlight's low and high beam parabolas are positioned in beneath LED unit which will give the SuperSport a proper look, a Plexiglas screen with two different height settings will give you a better wind protection, another thing that differentiate the SuperSport from the 959 Panigale is the steel Fuel Tank, also we have this dual pipe side  muffler in low slung position which are better integrated( my opinion of course) than the Panigale 959, this setup let you see the beautiful Y shaped 3-spoke wheel made from light alloy(in both variant the standard and the S) coupled to the legendary single sided swingarm.
The engine of the 2017 Ducati SuperSport is a 937cc Testastretta 11°, L-Twin cylinder, 4 valve per cylinder, Desmodromic, liquid cooled or the same engine of the Ducati 939 HYPERMOTARD, which has an output power of 113hp and 96.7 Nm (71.3 lb-ft) @ 6,500 rpm, 80% of this torque is available from 3000rpm, riding modes and electronics aids are available in both version with a small advantage to the “S” version which feature the Ducati Quick Shift up/down + the Ducati Safety Pack (ABS Bosch + Ducati Traction Control) present in both version, all these features will be displayed in a FULL LCD instrumentation.
moving on to the chassis which is as usual with Ducati a Tubular steel Trellis frame attached to the cylinders head, coupled to a Fully adjustable 43mm Marzocchi forks and Sachs monoshock at the rear in the standard SuperSport and a Fully adjustable 48mm Ohlins forks and fully adjustable Ohlins monoshock ate the rear in SuperSport “S” version.
The braking system is the same in both variant of the 2017 Ducati 939 SuperSport, a 2 x 320 mm (12.6 in) semi-floating discs, radially mounted Monobloc Brembo M4-32 callipers, 4-piston, radial pump  with ABS as standard of course, because in 2017 all bikes in Europe must have ABS.
The purpose of this 2017 Ducati 939 SuperSport is to be comfortable in the road, but still give you some good sensation when you urge it, but there is something quite annoying with Ducati, the price, I think (correct me if I’m wrong) they are the only motorcycle manufacturer to make pay extra money for another color (not a special edition color) so prepare yourself for a jaw drop: the standard will cost you €12,999 for the standard and if your jaw is still resistant the “S” will cost €14,0690 for the red and €14,890 for the white version.
I hope I covered all the main features of the 2017 Ducati 939 SuperSport, if not, please forgive me because I’m really sick and injured, so stay tuned I’ll try my best to give you other 2017 Bikes info.
