Finally we have the official pictures and specs of the 2017 BMW K1600 GT, last week we gave you spy shot( check the full article HERE) of the big Bavarian tourer and know let’s see what how true our story was.
First off I know you’ll complain about this article because I’m late by 2 days, but guys if you are a usual visitor of MCR you don’t even need to wait to know about this model, because as I mentioned above I posted an article last week talking about the 2017 BMW K 1600 GT, and I was right about all what I said.
We will not discuss the aesthetic of the 2017 BMW K 1600 GT because it look pretty much the same as the current one, with some stylistic tweaks, the big 6-cylinder in-line engine now include new catalytic converters and adapted data status according to EU4 requirements, with an unchanged output of 160 hp at 7 750 rpm and a maximum torque of 175 Nm at 6 500 rpm, but this engine is coupled to a revamped gearbox which include now a reverse gear, this reverse can be used from the left handlebar and you have just to press the starter motor button to move backward, quick shifter up/down is available as an option.
The 2017 BMW K 1600 GT also feature Electronic suspension Dynamic ESA with automatic damping adaptation as standard, this new suspension include two riding modes: “ROAD” and “DYNAMIC”.
But the 2017 BMW K1600 GT has an exclusive feature: Intelligent Emergency Call, If an emergency situation or an accident occurs, the intelligent emergency call is activated automatically or manually, sending the position data of the motorcycle, and therefore the coordinates of the scene of the accident, setting the rescue chain in motion via BMW Call Center.
It is good to know that the 2017 BMW K 1600 GT has a redesigned dash alongside with new slipstream deflectors for a better wind protection.
The 2017 BMW K 1600 GT will be available at the end of the current year at a price tag of €22,550.
