2017 YAMAHA YZF R6 REVEALED

The 2017 Yamaha YZF R6 is finally unveiled, even if the unveil was supposed to be at the 2016 intermot, but the wait is over and the new R6 is really a new bike.
The 2017 Yamaha YZF R6 look pretty much like his big brother, the YZF R1, but with a more angular face, the new style of the supersport bike from IWATA is just sublime, of course this aesthetics changes are not just for the pleasure of your retina, for instance the new front cowl and windscreen alongside with the front fairing has been

developed using some of the key elements from the YZF-R1, therefore we have and improvement of 8% in aerodynamic efficiency. As well as the redesigned front cowl and screen, the bike's new LED flashers are incorporated within the rear view mirrors to reduce turbulence and drag.
ALL ABOUT ELECTRONICS
The 2017 Yamaha YZF R6 electronics still top notch with the Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) and Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-I) and now Yamaha has introduced a new electronic feature: advanced Traction Control System (TCS) which can be adjusted by a switch on the handlebars, the new TCS features 6 levels of selectable intervention, as well as an OFF function. The TCS's intelligent software is designed to ensure that there is no unnatural feeling when it intervenes, and the system also compensates for rear tire wear to give consistent performance, The YZF-R6 also comes equipped with a new Quick Shift System (QSS) that gives faster gear changing. This system is similar to the design used on the YZF-R1, and instantly cancels drive torque when an upshift is detected - enabling full throttle clutchless upshifts for better acceleration through the close ratio 6-speed transmission.
Of course all this electronics aids are here to let dompt the 599cc, inline 4-cylinder liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC, 4-stroke, the output power is not communicated yet.
The new YZF R6 also feature Titanium exhaust silencer, to reduce weight of course.
WHAT ABOUT THE DAYNAMICS
The 2017 Yamaha YZF R6 is equipped an aluminum and swingarm coupled to a KYB upside down forks from the YZF-R1. The front suspension features large diameter 43mm tubes - compared to 41mm on the previous model - to give a more planted feel, particularly during braking and cornering. The front wheel axle is also increased in diameter to 25mm for optimized handling, the rear shock is also from KYB, and this two suspension part cab be adjusted in all direction, to stop this new R6 we have Dual 320mm discs are equipped with aluminum 4-pot opposed piston calipers at the front, we don’t know why Yamaha still don’t put BREMBO brake on their bike.
The rear subframe is also new on the 2017 Yamaha YZF R6, to reduce weight this part is made from CF die-cast magnesium, the subframe is 20mm narrower at the front, allowing the rider to tuck in more closely to the tank for improved aerodynamics, specking of fuel tank this part is also new and made from aluminum, Weighing 1.2 kg less that the steel equivalent, all those features will give you a lightweight package.
The 2017 Yamaha YZF R6 will be available from April 2017 in two color: Race Blu and Teck Black, hope I covered all the big features of this new R6, forgive me (again) if I forgot to mention some other features.
