MV AGUSTA CR, A FUTURISTIC CAFE RACER FROM COLOMBIA

MV AGUSTA CR, A FUTURISTIC CAFE RACER FROM COLOMBIA

MV AGUSTA need some fresh model to attract more customers and riders, and if you look closely to the Varese line-up, something is missing! Yep: there is no café racer in their line-up, and as you already know the current trend is modern retro bike including Scrambler, café racer and bobber, but don’t worry we found something really unusual and original, and what surprise us is the fact that we found it in Colombia! Finally we have an MV AGUSTA CR concept.

This MV AGUSTA CR (café racer) is designed by the Colombian artist Ivan Delgado Torres, he designed a whole new bike to match the café racer style, but incrusted a lot of futuristic technology, some of them are feasible, but the others are just for the show(our humble opinion of course).
The aesthetic of the bike is futuristic and dominated by a big red fuel tank, we don’t know why the fuel tank is so big? But what attract your attention is the use of an original sub frame: we have trusses and aluminum, on top of this sub frame we have a single seat unit made from leather, the engine is probably the 800cc 3 cylinder coupled to an electric motor, so technically you’ll get more power and torque, and there is a lot of technical features related to the use of an electrical engine like the KERS (Kinetic Energy recovery system) and connectivity with other riders which we prefer to don’t talk about these technology because they are far from been introduced in the motorcycle industry, other cool and non-suitable features for this type of bike, is the illuminated tires, this smart tires can turn red when you reach the limit wear, but this tires are fitted to a beautiful set of spoked wheels.
Dynamic wise we have a big fork, at the front which look pretty much the same as the Showa big piston fork, at the rear we have a very small shock absorber unit.
There are some idea that we don’t like about this MV AGUSTA CR like the front headlight which look pretty the same as the front headlight of the Suzuki GSR 750, but instead of criticizing we must encourage this type of design, to get(one day) a proper MV AGUSTA CAFÉ RACER.
