NEW TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE 765 RANGE UNVEILED

TRiumph street triple range

TRIUMPH has unveiled his new STREET TRIPLE 765 range, we have now four model within the range, so let's take a closer look on this new middleweight roadster range.

 

The new TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE 765 range has a new engine, and this engine comes from the TRIUMPH DAYTONA 675 R,  the 765 cc three cylinder engine has more than 80 new parts: new crank, pistons and NIKASIL plated aluminum barrels, increased bore and stroke, the engine know use electronics with a new ECU tuned to match every model.

dynamic wise the four model share the same chassis and a new aluminum swing arm, but they have different suspension components, we will talk about that later on, the style or the look is pretty similar to the updated SPEED TRIPLE 1050, especially when compared the two bike from the front, we notice a new exhaust pipe, which mean the bike is also a EURO 4 compliant.

as mentioned above the new TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE 765 feature a massive use of electronics  aids: ABS, switchable traction control, power mode, all this data are displayed in a new 5" full color TFT instrument ( available in R and RS version), and an LCD unit in the S version.

The new TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE  range include an A2-licence, this version is based on the S model  but with a different engine: it use the actual 675cc engine with a revised bore and stroke it produce 94hp, but can be restricted to 47hp to match the A2-licence regulation, this version will be available from JUNE 2017.

The STREET TRIPLE S is considered as the base model and will be available from APRIL 2017 at £8,000.00 OTR (UK price)

Even if the new TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE hasn't changed a lot in term of aesthetic, the main argument of this naked bike remain his engine and chassis, now the STREET TRIPLE is updated, can we expect a new TRIUMPH DAYTONA ? for that stay tuned....
